There are plenty of reasons that so many Brits and other northern Europeans move to France. Climate, relaxed way of life, good inexpensive wine, cheap property, but also good, reasonably priced restaurants. Not that all French restaurants are good and some are far from it. This is why I’d like to open this topic and hear views from all of you across the P.O.
We all have our favourite Restaurants that we keep going back to, but we also have the ones that we avoid like the plague. If you don’t agree with my choices or any one else’s speak up and defend those who have been put down or put down those who have been undeservedly complimented.
Here are a few of my favourites:
Relais de Sceaury in Rasiguères.
Hostalet de Vivés in Vivés.
Domaine Rombeau in Rivesaltes,
Route de Tanger in Perpignan,
V.I.P in Perpignan,
Aqueduc in Ansignan,
Auberge du Cellier in Montner (for special occasions)
L’Espartinette in Perpignan (for a good quick snack and a nice glass of wine).
Here are a couple that I haven’t been back to.
Auberge du Grand rocher in Caramany
Taj in Perpignan (better off getting a jar of Pataks and doing it yourself)
Which are your favourite and least favourite Restaurants in the 66?

Try the restaurant in the Hotel Vidal in the centre of Céret. eating on the terrace is great.

Mas Vermeil near Perpignan
Great atmosphere, excellent food, good service! Doesn’t fall in the reasonably priced category but it’s good to splash out every now and again.

New discovery:
L’Hostal in Castelnou. Wonderful grilled lamb. v.good house red. Reasonably priced.
